How is Notepad++ open source when the download page clearly says “Windows”??
It isn’t open source, but it is free. Title probably should be changed to “Must have Free and Open source software”
Notepad++ *is* open source. The source code is available on Sourceforge. It’s GPL enhanced licensed, so it’s free and open source.
You confuse a closed source OS that can run this software with the software itself. That’s like confusing a dollar with the current President of the United States of America. Two entirely different things, as one buys the other*, but the converse is not true. 😉
